Education:Online vs Offline

“Education is all-round development of body, mind and spirit.”

Education is basic tool for the development of consciousness and the reconstitution of society. It makes a person idle and noble and helps in building career. Formal education is commonly divided formally into such stages as preschool or kindergarten, primary school, secondary school and then college and  university.  Educational 
methods include teaching, training, storytelling, discussion and directed research.

           Now education became the best business. As a result, quality

education is degrading. It is always proved that: The roots of 

education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet. Now education is totally

based on mark, rank and division. It is a wrong think that education

is a process to read, mug up and vomit on the exam paper.

Education is a process to learn the things around us and passion to

do something wonder. It is eternal as we know “The learning

process continues until the day we die”. Here one more thing I

want to add is that an investment in knowledge pays the best

interest. 

            Whenever student starts their learning it is the job of their

parents and teacher is that student should have sense of right and

wrong. Once a student started his journey on a wrong track then it

is very difficult drag him/her into a right track, that doesn’t matter

how much talented that student is. Naxalites are created exactly in

this way. They are supremely talented but   they use their skill in

negative way to fulfil their demand. C.S. Lewis has said:

“Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make

man a clever devil.”

“Education must not simply teach work – it must teach

  Life”, because “Education is not preparation for life;

education is life itself”.      

      

In this modern era study is broadly broken into two pieces i.e.                     

i ) Offline Study                                                                                  

ii) Online Study  

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

i ) Offline Study:

                    

   

            It is the traditional and preferable method of study. All across the world students and teachers are gather within a classroom to share and gain knowledge. Classroom is the best place to discuss about study. Direct interaction of students and teacher makes the students much comfortable. Irrespective of background of student they sit together and make friendship. Students have to use pen, paper, geometric tools etc. to keep notes for future use.

            Sometimes students think it is hard to sit 6-8 hours in a classroom with discipline. It’s like a learning jail. But we know Hard Work is key to success. It is only way to enrich our mind and concentrate on study.

The power of offline study is Book. It is the best study material. Book is our best friend. It is one of the best medium of gaining knowledge. But that doesn’t mean student should be book worm. They should be very practical in the life. They should spend time with outer world, nature.

ii)Online Study:

     

      

            It is the alternate way to study and increase our learning skill and make the students efficient. Technology is growing exponentially. In the modern era students step forward to online study. It is comfortable mode of study. Without visiting different places and door of teachers they learn everything sitting at his study room.

            It is regret to say that the point above is idle condition. But generally, students very fond of gaming and entertain themselves using PC and mobile. It is happening that under the shield of online study they play games and watch movie. They can easily cheat teaching process. Because it is true that the focus of distance study or online study is totally depend upon content of course and strong network rather than communication between teacher and student.

            It is fairly good on online study that, student doesn’t to take note. They will be providing all study materials in the form of PDF, PPT, animated video clips etc. It is easy to keep the content with us for longer time.  

Reality:

            Let’s dive into ground reality. First of all, the online study is only possible for those students who are economically well. It’s like a daydream for a poor countryside student.

In the village area, students who are studying in a govt school are unable to join online study. Although android mobile shrinks or solves this problem a lot but not all. e-Class is only possible in urban private institutions.

            Now take a glance on second issue: Nowadays more than 50% population are internet user. Due to COVID-19 almost all people are staying at home and use internet whole day for their office work (work from home), project work and also use for amusement & entertainment, as a result network traffic also increases which reduces internet speed. It is also a noticeable problem for e-Class.

Lastly interest on online study of the students decreases gradually. Reason may be addiction of game, social media or the problems mention above. Here I discuss on e-Class organized by school/colleges for completing syllabus. It is quite boring. Because online study doesn’t rely on syllabus or content. It also depends on representation of teacher and attractive environment.

           COVID-19 also make a counter attack on examination process. High School students have given their board exam(10th). But they are not sure when their paper evaluation will start and when their result will publish. The condition of intermediate students is measurable. Some of 12^th board students given exam of all paper and some are not even complete their board exam. Now they are very often confused that either they will prepare for upcoming entrance exams or they will prepare for remaining paper of board exam. The flow of determined study during exam is broken. They don’t know when they will give exam of remaining paper. They are moving around uncertainty.

Now-a-day a pandemic is ruled over the world called COVID-19.  Due to Corona Virus whole world is Shut Down. There is a great break in human race. People are locked down. Increase of lock-down period in India again cause headache for common man especially mendicants and labors.

Now this is a great chance to grab the opportunity and enhance your skill and work hard to fulfill your dreams. This is once in a life time offer, as never this type of lock down is done in history. In this present situation we have to obey the government rules and fight against corona as soldier staying inside the home.
